SERVICES > Static Page Sites
A static page website can be likened to a simple 2 page (or more) advertising brochure. Once the leaflet/brochure has been created, it's content is fixed. Changing the content of that leaflet involves editing and subsequent reprinting. Some businesses only want to shout about their existence and briefly outline their services, where they are, how to get in touch etc. In these cases, a static page site is often a good choice, particularly if the content for the site is going to be the same for some period of time. A site where there is a need for fewer than 20-30 pages is commonly more economically delivered by using static pages as the initial development outlay is generally lower. However, if the content needs regular modification the ongoing costs of maintenance can make static page sites more costly in the long term. When we build a static page site, we do so with future expansion in mind. Despite static page sites being the simplest to construct we put foundations in place that would allow the pages to be converted to Content managed pages at any point in the future. Often, client plans and requirements change and we believe in making the upgrade path as simple and as cost effective as possible. Page Updated: Thursday 28 September 2006 |
